1 Second CPS Test

One second, as many clicks as you can. With only a second on the clock, your score is a whole number of clicks and shows your pure burst speed, before your hand has time to tire.

Click as fast as you can with the left button for 1 second. The timer starts on your first click.

Only left-button presses count. Average CPS is total clicks ÷ test length; Live CPS is the rate over the last second. Your best score for each length is saved in this browser on this device, and nowhere else.

About the 1 second test

Because the test lasts exactly one second, your CPS equals your click count. That makes it the quickest way to compare yourself with friends, and also the least stable: a single extra click changes your score by 1.00. Run it a few times and look at your best and your typical result rather than a single attempt.

Most people land somewhere in the 5 to 8 range on a 1 second test. Reaching 10 or more usually takes practice with jitter or butterfly clicking.

Frequently asked questions

Does a higher CPS make me better at games?

Only in games where raw click rate matters, such as some clicker and combat games. In most games, aim, tracking and timing matter far more than clicks per second.

Why is my score higher on shorter tests?

A short test is a sprint. Over longer tests your hand tires and your rate drops, so the same person usually scores lower on 30 and 60 seconds than on 1 or 5.

Why are right and middle clicks not counted?

The test measures left-button speed so scores stay comparable. To test the other buttons, use the double-click test, which registers every button.

Is my best score saved?

Yes. Your best for each length is stored in this browser on this device, and nowhere else. Clearing your browser data removes it.

How is the 1 second score different from the 10 second score?

The 1 second test measures a burst. Longer tests average in the moment your hand slows down, so the 10 second score is usually lower and more representative of what you can sustain.

How this test works

The timer starts on your first left click and runs for exactly 1 second. Clicks are timed with the browser's high-resolution event timestamps, and any click that arrives after time is up is not counted. Average CPS is total clicks divided by 1.
